Difference between hot dip galvanizing and cold Zinc plating of angle iron

1.The principles are different. Hot-dip galvanizing immerses steel in a molten zinc solution to cover the metal on the part, while cold galvanizing uses electrochemical principles to prevent corrosion.

2. The corrosion resistance is different. Hot-dip galvanizing is a chemical treatment, is an electrochemical reaction, cold galvanizing is a physical treatment, in the surface layer coated with a layer of zinc is easy to fall off, so hot-dip galvanizing is more corrosion-resistant than cold galvanizing.

3.The thickness is different. Hot-dip galvanized material can be thicker than 10 microns, and cold galvanized thinner, about 3 microns to 5 microns.

4.The price and practicality of different. Cold galvanizing is cheaper than hot-dip galvanizing, but hot-dip galvanizing is more practical than cold galvanizing!
